Hi fellow junkies!

Today i had such a rush of endorhpines..... that i have'nt had since i did some really steep skiing ages ago.

We are right now having some weird conditions, that i have never seen on our beach before. We are having 25 to 32 knots of onsideon and that kicks up some serious waves.
This is normally your typical sidewind place with 15 to 20 knots and a little windchop, nice for freestyle and kiting around.

Strong wind happens, sure. But to get out and having 3 meter faces, fast and long... never before.
The water is about 5 meters deep were the best waves kicked in.... and we could ride them or the one after for a km!!!

Going upwind again they tried to eat you here and there, in the end of the upwind tack we where riding so close to the beach, and above it! Since the waves break DOWN on the beach (get's deep after one meter).

I was so loaded, shouting out loud and fighting to stay alert. I had borrowed a best ts 9 from my friend, he was riding the kahoona 9.5 and both of us where on max from time to time. I'm 83 and he's 93 kg, so we are not the lightest guys.

O' how sweat to totally be there, there were moments when that kite wanted to rip me of the water, there were moments on a wave... when everything went silent....oh shit i'm so happy for today!

Tell me about your great moment kiting!

Now that is a great story! Glad you had the moment we all live for, the smile that is hard to get rid of despite the weary bones and aching abs! These keep you going during all the down times.
Thanks for sharing...

Moments of rush ... there are many.

Most recent was last night ... light wind session, big kite - I pop a jump at the end of a tack closest to the beach, thinking I had plenty of space for a feeble launch ... went much higher than expected and proceeded to drift a long way down wind. Oh look here comes the shore ...

Narrowly missed having to kick the board off and land on the beach. Won't be doing that again! :D

Congratulations you just had a 50 session!!.

They say on your death bed you will only remember 50 days of your life. They will be the best and the worst days of your life.

So the goal is to have a session so good that you will remember it for the rest of your life. Thus its call a 50 session!..

Thanks guys for your response.

Tim S... sounds pretty funky! (I can't do it, i have to put a lot of muscles on my old bones before...)

The Captain... you got me curious... what's up?

Kamikuza... please don't become a kamikaze... :D

Plummet... hmm you got me thinking, and i don't even smoke dope nowadays...
Started counting things... i like the idea. I will try to fill those days. Thank you.

The funny thing was that today we had OK conditions... but neither me or my friend (we are only two in these conditions) had any urge to go out today... To shitty wind... to messy waves...

Tomorrow will be an other day... still waves and sidewind from the right... my side!!!

I just hope that the wind kicks in properly... since it's going to be sea breeze.

Tell me more please!

P.S. Tom W, i really like that comment from the older lady... is she eying you out aswell... young stud!!!
