...............I want to talk about "EFFICIENCY" under kite power water records instead..............
Going 44.33 in 30 knots is 1.48 times the wind speed (yippee)
Going 46.52 knots(53.5mph or 86.2 km/h) in19-20 knots(37 km/h) is "2.32 times the wind speed"
This record belongs to the Yellow Pages Endeavour (winged type sailboat) set in Australia 1993
Windsurfing has 49.09 knots world speed record in 45-50 knots of wind (going about wind speed)
Not sure "with what windspeed" but kite the world speed record = 55.65 knots (that is fast&furious)
So my question at what wind speed does "our efficiency start declining" with kites ?
Can we go 2.32 times the wind speed in 10,15 or 20 knots ??
This would mean a speed of 23.2knots in 10 knots of wind or 34.8 knots in 15 knots winds
Has those kind of competitions ever been held in steady winds of 10,15 or 20 knots ?
Just to see who has the EFFICIENCY record in light to moderate winds
Was just wondering
