Just seen on the news, don't have much details but it seems a french kitesurfer broke the record crossing the channel ( between England and France) under 5 hours ..... Anyone has more details ?

I wonder why he picked such a wide part to cross.
I am sure with modern gear someone with the right experience and training could do folkestone/calais in under 2 hours, maybe even 90mins is possible.
