I demoed a Rally 12 2012 of one friend. I ride Norths, so I would say in comparison to a North EVO in similar size it has a poor lowend, turns quicker though and has good depower. What I dont like on non North kites it's the bad kite-feedback on the bar, it was also quite noticible on the Rally. I'm also wondering what is it the depower cleat under the bar all about???

North evo is an average kite, over constructed and too heavy. I personally didn't enjoy at all, slow, back stall, the rebel is much more superior but has 5 lines, who wants a bow tie wrap now days. 5 lines are not needed now days, lets face it if it all goes wrong you just eject the kite

But back to the RALLY's. Having had the 8.10.12 combo in 2011 i found i was going for the 12 over the 10 alot finding the 12 had alot more low end than the 10. Its marginally slower. The 14 is alot slower (but still fast for a big bird) but its also on 27m and not 23m lines so that slows it down also. I i now have 6,9, 12 but still find i prefer the 12 as the range is massive and hang time is big. Ask your self do you want a kite to take you down in the 8 jnot range thats a bit boring to ride or have more fun at 10knots with a sporty 12m? I don't do 14's even though i have tjhe option to fly them.

DRC - how much do you weigh? I am 195 lbs and looking for a new 12 m. Want to ride in 14 knots plus. Will the 12 rally get me going?
