I intend to buy a new kitesurfing kite and gears. After two years using the same old and "underperforming" equipment .

I would like an advice from experienced riders --> If you were to choose among these packages below what would you buy, P1 or P2 (they both have the same price)? TKS

P1 I know nothing about
P2 I know very well so it would be my choice

I wouldn't buy anything from 2012, you can buy twice as much with the same money if you start looking for new 2011 gear. In a less then 6 months you will see the same 2012 gear 25 to 40% off for new gear and there is no need to buy new for the travel gear so look for that stuff used at a fraction of the cost.

I suggest:
2008 Flexifoil Ion 8.5M
2008 Flexifoil Ion 12.5M
2008 Griffin Monkey 15M

Great quiver, ....much better than something new that flies great.
Or maybe perfect for somebody that does not have the funds to buy newer better gear.
Both companies provide great personal customer service in Southwestern Ontario.

P2 for me.
I have tried the Vector and liked it + can kites are bomb proof..

P1 for me, I have the 2011 Envy and love it. The build quality of LF kites is amongst the best.

I don't know anything about the Vector but it looks similar to the Envy minus the diamond wing tips.

Really you're gonna suggest you know anything about my finances? Let me lay it out for you, I just haven't found anything that I like better then the ions yet and I refuse to buy anything just for the sake of buying something new. But I do try new kites every chance I get, I tried a new Epic Renegade the other day, I was happy to get back on my ion. Even outdated technology felt safer then the Epic bar. Especially considering how many times I've seen that plastic clip break. I hear their fixing this, so it is obviously a problem.

I certainly would not recommend the Ion3's to beginners and I would definitely not recommend the Griffin to anyone but I would also not recommend many other brands, especially the brand you are affiliated with. Don't bother to deny it. You have your head so far up Dimitri's ass he has started wearing a dress....

I didn't know dimitri owned flexifoil! Wow he must be doing quite well.


Anyway, I'd just order separate stuff unless you get a huge savings, so you can get the kite and board you want without the pointless extras they both seem to come with
