sprockett, any word on your kites. I bet Simone/Mikael is just completely ignoring you right now.
I have about 100 pictures and 5 video's of my Royal gear completely falling apart so consider yourself lucky not getting those kites. Beg for a refund and stay the hell away from their gear.
The 3 riders in the pkra right now are not riding the gear they are selling you. this out of Simone's mouth himself.
Royal ruined my 2012 race season and don't give a crap to make it right.
My Royal gear is currently the biggest joke in San Francisco, Mike Zaijeck is shocked every time he sees my board and can't believe how poorly designed and built my board is.
What a joke, the biggest mess in 2011 and looking like they are going for another record in 2012.

Are you referring to the board as well? If so, the PKRA judges should open their eyes and enforce compliance with the rule that took so many good shapers out of the market - at least out of respect for them!
Now back to topic, I do hope you get compensated ... let's keep this thread rolling guys, this way Royal should soon realize it loses much more by not coming forward.

I totally agree what a shame. I actually believed these guys from Royal to be nice guys too.
I am a shop owner and work with many other brands and deal with warranty issues all the time and ppl stand behind their product.
Ocean Rodeo
and
Slingshot
these guys will go beyond and keep their riders happy and work with you.
Ozone was pretty good too when I used to deal Ozone.
This Royal business just blows my mind.

Yes I am referring to the boards and yes these board are probably not compliant. The production boards in the PKRA were taken to a different "GUY" in Italy I assume that reinforced the boards with carbon fiber for these guys to compete with. these boards did not come of the production line like this.
honestly i think this production thing is a joke anyway and there should only be a box rule and let guys develop test and have fun with it.
anyway don't want to turn this discussion into another IKA thing we have plenty of those going.
I am pretty pissed that i am stuck with REALLY bad gear and been begging for 4 months to be just ignored. gear started falling apart in the first week of use.
I have been on the podium in 1st 2nd and 3rd place of the last couple years for our Cab race series here in San Francisco and now I am the guy on the bench the the sponge(raceboard) or as its registered with the St Francis Yacht Club the "Titanic"
Wake up Royal!

Are they giving the refund due?
When the money for all the kites has cleared then it is sorted.
So let us know the outcome Matt & good luck!
