The best advice i can give you is to unhook.
It's a lot easier and safer to kiteloop while unhooked.

If you are used to unhooking yes. Mega loops unhooked… mmm… not so sure. Well not for me

I prefer smaller kites for big loops. slightly bigger kites for back roll and front roll loops.
At 70kg, an 11m LEI is my biggest Kite.
Try looping a little earlier so that the kite has time to get back up and catch you. Also getting enough hight is key.
Breaking your board, or worse your knees, is not really an option you should consider. It ain't no fun. :-?

I would say go with a 9m, get some hight. and pull the trigger.

I have another question: Can you make this kind of loop with a big kite let's say a 13m North Evo?

Sure can be done, but harder on a big kite, since they are slower. But if you get the height and loop aggressive enough it works.
A small kite really helps, and makes it more fun, faster, safer and easier. Even Lenten prefer smaller kites for looping. I hardly loop at all on bigger than 9-10, it´s not as fun, prefer unhooked on bigger sizes.

Next time I will use a kite one size smaller with a bigger board and loop it a bit earlier.

Going full speed really helps as well. The faster you go, the higher you go, an the easier it will be to get the kite around and up to catch you again. If you go fast you can still go high without being to much powered and get to much in the loop in the beginning.
Also try looping aggressively, steer the kite as hard as you can. And holding a wide grip (not narrow like for unhooked) will help this.

IMHO for megaloops you have to be hooked in, for kiteloops it is safer, and easier, to unhook.
Going small kite size is also true, just remember to stop the loop when the kite is pointing back up.

Yesterday I tried some kiteloops in light wind with my Fuel 11m. I think my problem is on either the take-off and/or loop timing. I am ending with the kite behind me when reaching the apex causing it to be too far in the edge of the window. In the second clip a tried to loop it a bit earlier but I think there is something off with it.

Please Loop Masters, take a look and help me troubleshooting it .

Today the wind will be stronger and I will try on my 9m.

It seems that you have to work on hooked in jumps if you reach the apex of your jump with the kite behind you. You keep your kite too low before sending it and therefore losing edge and going forward instead of upwards.

Not sure if I got what Jedi1 mean...
Anyway thats not a powered loop - the kite is not catching you again (it goes up but not enought to catch you), and on a really powered one the problem would be even more obvious and the crash harder.
But the problem here seems to be that you are of balance when you land. Try tightening your abs and body during the loop (so you don´t get of balance) and point the board downwind towards the kite when landing. You will get it fast for sure - more a balance thing ;) Just do it again and again and let your body get use to the sudden sidewise pull from the kite during the loop.

Hi,

I´ve battled with the same problems. My solutions:

- More wind, you need pressure in your kite to get hight.
- Smaller Kite, because it turns faster.
- More speed: go fast before you send the kite and you´ll get higher
- Send the kite earlier (11.30 or 12.30 depends on the direction)
- Stiffen your core

Look at these guys, what they ´ve done last weekend (I´m not as good as they are, but I´m working on it:)): http://maltelutz.de/en/kitesurf/omlm/ .

Aloha
