The quickest petition ever. Just takes a few seconds.
http://www.change.org/petitions/houston ... -a-problem
Please consider signing this petition to save Bondurant, Wy from over 100 gas wells in our very snowkite spot. A Huston, Tx company has the right to drill on the National Forest Service lands at Bondurant where we snowkite due to some technicality granfathered in from over 50 years ago. Now they're proposing to drill the gas wells there and pump fracking fluid into the earth.
Not only will it harshly scar the snowkite terrain, but it is unfortunately high up in the watershed. The Frack infested water can travel down the Hoback River, to the Snake River and ultimately pour into the ocean via the Columbia River. This will be draining through 5 of my waterkite spots as well. I personally also kayak and river surf all the waters from this drainage. I will be super fracked!
The Jackson Hole Kiters will owe you big and come to your rescue one day if necessary!
Thanks in advance - Will Taggart

Just signed it. We got frackin issues here as well. That friggen frackin is a real pain. Jobs are important but fresh water is becoming an endangered resource. We gotta be careful with it.

I hear ya Will. There are 2 wells planned around my house. Fortunately in Md they put a moratorium on fracking. Lets hope they ban it like they did in Vt. JR

I have city water here and I use those disposable water filter systems you can buy at the grocery store... they get rid of the chlorine flavor in the water real nice but I don't think I'd rely on them to filter out frackin chemicals.
I'm not sure there are any reliable residential water filter systems out there that can handle frackin fluid. But ya never know.

There are not enough filters to remove the shit involved with frackin. The gas drilling companies don't even have to release what chemicals they use.

Thanks for the support guys, besides my own personal reasons the Ranchers of Bondurant are too few and un connected to keep the wells away from their lands. It shocked me that the National Forest couldn't stop it on their own since 136 wells are aimed for the National Forest lands bordering the small population of Bondurant.
This can be stopped and the people of Jackson are fighting tough, even though the water is actually downstream of Jackson, Wy. I need to get the poeple of Idaho Falls to start fighting since that's the first major population this water runs into.
