So if you are looking for a set and forget kite that just pulls like a truck then go for the Dyno. But if you are willing to learn to ride a performance big kite that will certainly out perform the Dyno in all categories other than just raw one stroke pull, the Fat Lady is the kite.

Thats funny. The fat ho will never jump, generate speed, or upwind like the dyno. It's not just the point where you can start upwind, but also the angle you can take upwind.
Plus, who wants to ride a kite called Fat Lady.....

Agree - it does not really make sense to me either - the thing about "performance" is IMO very wrong here...
It turns faster around itself yes - but thats it, and got nothing to do with performance

Especially the part of outperforming "in all categories" was funny to me. Same rider / board / skill will most definitely go upwind better and go faster on the dyno.

Guess it depends on what you looking for. The Dyno is more a race kind of kite. Which has better upwind abilitys. The fat lady is more for having fun in low winds. More playfull.
If it is cruizing what your looking for the dyno will be better. If its playing a bit more the fat lady will be more what your looking for.

just a matter of taste.

Well said. I am not dissing the Dyno. It is a well made North Kite. It has a good lowend and goes upwind well. That just isn't my style. If it is blowing enough to ride(which isn't much, the Fat Lady has a very nice lowend) I am able to work on unhooked progression. It is certainly better in the surf. It is a kite that allows more flexibility to a light wind session again in my opinion. In your opinion you like the Dyno. The poster asked who has ridden both. I have. Have you?
