My brother has a 2011 SS Misfit 136, I got a chance to use it in the Planet of the Apes slick down in Hatteras last summer and it worked fine unhooked. You are probably right to avoid a full on wakestyle board if the winds are light where you ride, but you also won't want to use boots on the Misfit, you should stick to the straps. I rode the Misfit in the chop as well down in Hatteras and it handled it quite nicely. Solid construction too.

Definitely go for the 142 for your weight and the lighter winds. I don't think it will feel too big for the tricks you want to do, remember that the Misfit is not as wide as some of the other boards in its class (136 x 40.5 and 142 x 42). You will need the 42 cm width.
