the windrange depends on a lot of things.

experienced rider (75kg) with 1.40 wakestyle board:

2001 AB: starting at about 5 bft, depending on your guts and insanitiy, it flies till 7 bft.

the 2002 AB has a way better low end, but the high end's not as good.

The Airblast 8.4 is a very good toy. For your weight you can use it from 16to24 Knots with 30 m lines and 18to 28 Knots with 20 m lines. all with TT 160.
It has a very wide range of setting.
Cheers

You can consider 18-25 knots as a reference.
More wind for a heavy person and/or small board, less wind for a light person and/or big board

Yes - it was my favourite kite back then - the 8.4 (11.5m2) and the 10.0 (13.5m2) was also amazing for "everything" :thumb:

Not that much has changed since that time, for many kites - a front line flyer with a huge windrange, fast turning and a great kite IMO

But amazed to hear they are still "alive" ? (althoug I got my brothers 10.0 he bought from me back then, here now, as he has gotten new kites...)

:D Peter
