My knees where perfect when I was riding soft Trax tt, and humping my small girly jumps.
My knee problem started, when I started riding small fish surfboards with straps.
I had the chance to talk to legendary Mitu (f-one, Cape Verde)
He is one of the best strapless kitesurfer in the world, and he had a very bad knee injury. His advice is to maintain low speed , when riding a surfboard on the chop. A surfboard has high flotation, that's way when going fast, the ride is very jumpy, which has bad impact on the knees.
Now I kite with a strapless surfboard, use the smallest kite I can, try to go slow on the chop, and my knees are fine (if I don't neglect my Yoga and Physio).
