would this be a good compliment to a 12m Park? is it easy to fly the Fly (bar pressure and turning effort) ?

I had a love/hate relationship with the Ozone Zephyr. Gets you out there, but heavy, too much effort to fly, slow, tough to relaunch. I sold it and resigned that if i can't use my 12m its not worth going.

Yes exactly. Very good companion with 12 Park for sure. Even smaller Park could be the companion kite. I do not know what the high end of this kite is. When I've ridden it it has been glassy. A buddy said he had it out in quite a lot of wind. Slightly more bar, but not much. I did not try different settings..yet.

Good for NAISH to come up with a kite with no numbers on it. That reminds me of another kite company that did the same thing with their INFINITY v1 and v2 model. I guess this idea of no numbers on the kite for the extreme light wind kite works great, since you don't need a number on your kite if you are looking to venture on the water in light winds (6 to 12 knots.)

They do list the size as "15" on the Naish website, but they don't show it on the kite.

I don't understand why many kite companies make the size numbers so small on their kites. You show up at the beach and try to see what sizes everybody is riding, and you can't read the numbers. I saw one kite recently, I think it was a GK, that only showed the size on the top of the canopy above the center strut in 4 inch lettering!

But it does say clearly on Naish website that the FLY size is "15M" but not on your site

Beside i venture a lot on the water in true light winds but i do not say 6 knots as low end !!!
I just say to people who ask....8 knots as the starting point :D

In any case the tube kite i ride in LW has "more power" than let's say those two for example

SIZE and fast MOTION does matter :thumb: simple physics

Have you seen the Slingshot Turbine size 17M on their 2012 kite....
Impossible to miss the GIANT NUMBER

I have had a decent amount of time on the FLY and it is a great lightwind kite. I am 6'2" 170 and I can have fun in 8 knots. The photo shoot we did for this kite was less than 10 knots and I had no problem riding upwind making jibes and even relaunched it off the water after doing a drift launch.

We have been lucky enough to get a lot of people on demos already thru Naish Nation. The demos were also very successful. People have been out in very light conditions and have had great feedback on it. If you are looking for a light wind kite I highly recommend you consider the FLY.

Cheers!

Who knows how much power a kite has on PAPER until you have tried it for your self.

I had a 30M Naish Aero a few years ago. On PAPER it would be better than any other inflato that was not 30M. Guess what, some of the 15Ms I have flown have lately have as much juice as the 30M did. And they truck upwind! The 30M was a downwind Maniac!!

Main thing is to have fun and find out what works best for you. :happybirthday: :happybirthday: :happybirthday: :happybirthday: :happybirthday: :happybirthday:

There are a lot of claims in this original post. For example, "lightest weight to power ration... IN THE INDUSTRY.". That must have been a tremendous amount of work to measure all the big sized kites in this industry.

We make an 18m. Why not get these two kites (Fly and Cabrinha Crossbow LW 18) head to head? BTW, our 18m flies with the power of an 18m and turns like an 18m. This should be interesting...

yeah there is the problem cab driver. kites that fly like 18 an turn like 18 pretty much suck. I demoed the crossbow 2011 18m and gave it back after 2 tacks. poor performance , brutal on the arms, heavy and pig like. seemed like a kite from a past era or something. maybe some people like those characteristics.
