Peter Lynn Fury's hit the course racing world

Postby Racekoen » Tue Jul 17, 2012 10:45 pm

Hi all,

This year 'all discipline kitebrand' PETER LYNN introduced the LEI kites Escape and Fury. Bram Hoogendijk (PL teamrider) and I participated in some of the world's greatest course racing championships with the Fury: Belgian Championship, Dutch Championship, PKRA Holland and PKRA Germany. Kitesurf Trophy, KTE Holland and Worldchampionship Italy are yet to come! Up to the Olympics?

Here you can read a report on our latest trip:

Cheers!

Well done guys.
Amazing thing about the Fury is that in smaller sizes, it's a fun kite in the waves and loops pretty well too.

sounds like fun. It will be interesting to see how the PL's go in the racing.

but cancelling racing bacause theres too much wind and rain? WTF?

What is too much wind?
i'd expect racing to continue up to 45 knots.

ps that 3 kite rule is stupid.

Hi Koen.

The Report is nicely written, but it makes it sound a lot like the event ended with the start of the storms. We did a lot more races after the Doubles for the Airstyle.

We did a total of 12 Races. You and Bram left after we only did 4. You should have stayed. The other days of Racing where good, especially the last day where we did 5 Races pretty powered up on 11m2 and 12m2 kites.

@Plummet: Kiting in 45 Knots may be possible, but not when there is a flood warning ;-).

Well if they stop the freestyle because of the wind and flooding, I think we can let them stop the racing?

Thnx Gunnar. I know we should've stayed longer... Congrats on your 10th place! I promised my girl not to stay for longtime. She's pregnant for 8,5 months now! So I'm gonna be father too! Only for us it's the second time ; ) Next year I'll stay for 10 days. I think it's a very nice place!

Grtz
