publications like this don't help to paint an accurate picture of the sport of kiteboarding. look who is favored to be the "World Champion of Freestyle"

Don't blame me!

Agree 100%!
Man this one drives me INSANE

Valves that can come off water hot tap water in a SUMMER SPORT??!!!,
the manufacturers are F'n Retarded!

F-off with the ultrasonic welding you cheap ass dicks if you're gunna charge 1800 bucks The LEAST you can do is use an adhesive RATED to EXCEED the expected use of the product.

...

I "Never" had a valve delam on Any of my Ozone kites , first one was purchased in 2006 ; and i usually always leave at-least one of them in the car while i'm kiting. It's 113deg in the shade
this time of year at Mohave ; even Hotter in the car !!

No-one has come up with a trim system on the bar for trimming the rear lines.

I "Think" this bar came off my 2007, Ozone instinct 15M ; never should have
sold that kite.

It had adjustable trim-straps on the rear-lines ; would be easy to build your own
from the picture, because there isn't a lot of tension on them. It has some white
thread in the center of travel, to indicate where trim is Before launching the kite.
It worked GOOD !!

the worst things in kiteboarding are kite brand "geniuses designers" who change already settled and loved designs in "even better designs" every new year. if you want to change the old kite design into high performance kite design, just make the new ("high performance") kite.

whoever like so called high perf. kites will buy it probably. other wise it is scam: people who are use to old design will buy the new kite in believe that new kite have the same qualities. but not, some idiot designer has changed the kite's profile. and now the kite turns slower, has bad low end, it is useless in the choppy water and in spite of the "high performance" tag is for flyweight teenagers use only!

so, i see it as the big fraud. they name it high performance (not specifying the weight of the kiter and conditions of the water surface).
then you buy it but can not use it really. and of course they does not respond to your letters later...

one of the worst things , is not being able to find a durable waterproof mp3 player , i've been through 3 of the speedos already.

as for the heat in cars damaging valves overtime , my car was broken into and kite and camera stolen so i will never leave gear in my car again even in a 'secure' location.

hate kiting with ppl who act like they know everythingand well experience , only to find out they need help with almost everything.

People asking retarded questions about the sport.

I just don't people who can't go kitesurfing without a frickin MP3 player! Defeats the purpose of getting outside and enjoying the elements. Why do you need a bloody soundtrack for everything...HAVE A WORD WITH YOURSELF

who said i can't go kiting without a frickin MP3 player, read carefully before making assumptions , it's nice to have the option and to kite sometimes with some good music , especially when you're alone ... anyone who kites 5hrs in a day by yourself and have a 5hr word with yourself should be classified as crazy

Haha agreed, I hate going to the skatepark with my friends because they all just tune everything out immediately, it's like wtf did I bring you for I may as well skate by myself. Best part about kiteboarding is it's very difficult to listen to music ;)

My biggest gripe with the sport at the moment is the marketing, there's so much BS put out about kites, especially by the paid reviewers like the magazines. When you can't demo gear and need new stuff, the only thing you have to go on are reviews, and half (or more) of them are fake.

majority of the time i kite for 5+ hrs all by myself , great to have the option to have some music while i'm cruising , just like a long road trip ... btw . . i'm coming to boca raton from jamaica end of August , worth bringing my gear ?

easy re-launch videos ... wtf? Always a person standing in ankle deep water. No shiat the kite launches easy.

No bar spare parts, no way to customize your bar (easily) ( with factory parts)

Kiters who don't give a shiat

bad attitude on the water

shitty stickers

old kite smell

pump leaks

Oh yeah, that funk that permanently inhabits your car from cooking wet kite gear! That would be sweet to do without. Especially hard on wife and kids who dont get the joy of kiting offset the hardship!

Getting skunked. Could be a long drive for nothing, even worse when it kicks in at home! Then there are the times when its been a week or two since wind and it spikes up enough to get all the locals scrambling down to the water and it proptly sits at 9 knots, constantly looking like its coming up and every time you go to leave it puffs up to 12 knots for 6 minutes.

Sharps! Glass, metal, shells, coral. One good cut can really suck balls.

Then the little things:

Cops and their legislation to enforce PFD use. $260.00 a pop!

People that ask for advice and never take it! These guys kill me.

Goose shit.... its all over my kites in the fall.

Tourists that insist on approaching you and talking your ear off from the second you exit the water to the moment you close your car door!

Motor boats that like to cruise through the kites and pause right in the lane out to clear wind to get a better look.
