Has anyone tried the Screamer 10m Ltd for wakestyle and how does it compare to the other wakestyle kites (Envy, switchblade, C4 and the RPM)? I like the range that the Ltd apparently has and was wondering what issues are with the kite for riding wake? Is it too fast? It looks like a nice kite and I am hoping to try one out.

There is not a lot of info on this kite for wakestyle but it is compared to a C kite.

James-
The Screamer 10M LTD is a great freeride/freestyle and boosting kite.
It is more C shaped than the rest of the Screamers and has more squared off wingtips, but it is not aimed specifically at wakestyle like the Epic Judge C kites.
If you look at some of the video on the Epic website, you will find Rocky Chatwell throwing down wakestyle on Screamers and Judges, but his kite of choice is the Judge.
The Judge was designed as a four line, five strut, C kite for freestyle/wakestyle kiters.

The other kites you are talking/asking about:
The Cabrinha Switchblade is not a freestyle kite.
The LF Envy is a three strut all around and wave kite, it is in the same class as the Epic Renegade.
Liquid Force makes the Nirvana for freestyle.
The Slingshot RPM is a three strut "Open C" bridled kite and is freestyle capable, their Fuel is non bridled, five struts and is their dedicated freestyle C kite.
The Ozone C4 is a "bridled C" that is aimed at freestyle and freeride kiting, it is Ozone's C kite.

Hey OnB,

Thanks for the input and I am going to look at the Judge as well as the other kites listed. There is just too many choices and I was hoping that the Ltd would fit the bill as it does look like it was made to reflect the judge.

I agree with Oldnbroken. The 10 is more of a boosting kite while the Judge is definitely meant for wakestyle. It is a C kite. I spent a few days in Hood River, and found doing unhooked wakestyle trick with the renegade easy as well. It did not have quite the C shape feel as the Judge but was still very enjoyable. :D
