yeah, they are good if:
-you are under 80 kg
-and your spot is flat water
-and you are using the big board
other wise the build quality of the kite is good.
switch is notoriously obsessive with low profile wing. so they are slow to turn, hard on the bar and you are not going to get any low wind grunt there.
i have seen personally how 13m Element started to fold its wingtips in 6 or 7 m/sec when other brands 11m kite with same weight kiter did perfectly well.
plus the aftersale value is close to zero....

I live in the area where one of the switch owners live,I have seen them testing the new nitros, methods and soon i hear new combats,I have had a go on the new nitro 16 14 and 10.They now have direct rear line attachment and relaunch is hugely improved.Bar pressure is now light.Most other things havent changed.They still have awesome boost and hangtime.I fly switch kites but are not a team rider.Still in my mind the best value kite around.If your after new kites test as many different kites as your can!!!!!They are not everyones cup of tea .

I bought a 9m combat at full price 2 months ago and have been riding it in far north queensland for many sessions (aussie), i really like it. It has an old school pull (ie pulls very hard) when turned but is better than the old school c kites. Hooked and unhooked it has inspired me back into learning new tricks, I am pretty stoked on the kite. I ride it with 5th, it is real solid wing - ie no wobble - you know exactly what is going to happen when you load your rail - peooow ping...

plus the aftersale value is close to zero.... what ? I'm out on E 13 in 9-10 ms and it's rock solid. only issue is that I'm so over powered that I'm depowering and losing steering input control because back lines are so slack. 80 kg on strapless Slingy Celeritas..
