SeaKing and a coulpe of search vessels employed. A 9 yearsd old boy lost by parents claiming that he went to swim.
The beach was immediately closed on a distance of 7km by 2-3 hours.
On some stage an eager helicopter pilot decided to search the would-be drowned boy over the crowdy beach something like 200m off the waterline. Idiot! People experienced a real sand storm. Not happy at all.
Despite my kite was secured by kilograms of wet sand put over each canopy there was na chances to keep it on the ground. Took off and tore a canopy flying over the beach. My session was over for good.
BTW. The boy was found playing with friends and probably wondering WTF - why people do not go swimming for last 3 hours?
Should I claim the kite repairing costs to the boy's parents neglecting their basic role or to the Belgium SAR?
