i wonder if you have the grip of death going on? try to grip the bar less.

also do you do the one hand kite fly thing?

each tack swap hands let the otherone dangle.

obviously set all your kites to the light bar pressure setting if they have one.

ps i am not a doctor.

Everyone says tennis elbow, but its Kiter-elbow, a bunch of tendons/fasia can rip in the elbow, if you dont have relief, doing Tennis Elbow streches, try pulling the bicip, or tricip up diaginally. If this causes pain keep doing it, before and after a session.

Bay surfer has a point... Go see a massotherapist and explain, it is even better if you go while in pain. They will teach you how to massage yourself to get rid of it. An MT who happened to be there on the beach when I firts had it cleared it for almost good. She squeezed the top of my forarm in one direction, the bicep in a second one and it burned like hell but it was gone right after. she followed the line of tension and found a kink in my back.. Anyhow she recommended those bands that you put on your forearm but i never used it. Now if I have pain I do what she did and it goes away.

Did you go to an orthopedist already? I can think of at least three things that would cause your pain. Stop searching on the internet and delaying your doctor's appointment. Forums are the same as asking your neighbor which medications they'd suggest taking in a case of flu. I'm a radiologist and one of my kite buddys is an orthopedist, he has seen some cases of supinator sindrome simulating lateral epicondilitis for non-experts like everyone who has answered you so far. Depending on age, sex, past history, time of onset of symptoms, evolution of symptoms, response to previous therapy, and several other factors you can make a proper diagnosis.

Hope you get well...

Adriano

nothing gives me worse tennis elbow than a 2:1 pulley bar, even a C kite is more forgiving than those monsters

nobody wants to hear this but take a week off and go biking.

of course Adriano's advice is the best, go get an expert opinion if you can afford your deductible

1// Make sure that your lines are equal length and your kite is therefore trimmed to stay at 12 with no bar input. Sometimes a line can stretch so little that you can't easily realise it while using the kite but chronically makes you pull more with one hand to keep the kite balanced.
2// All the above advice sound correct to me except the stuff about the nerves and the scapulae and so on, these sound pretty inaccurate.
3// Final advice,do follow kiters' advice with regards to what you can do with your kite / bar to improve things but don't follow medical advice from non-medics unless you double check it with a doctor.
Get well soon !! :thumb: :bye:
