You can leave this kite past 12 for a looooong time before you bring it back. It is just asking to be looped, but gusty westerly frontals at the kites max is not the best time to give this a crack. Summer will be here soon :D

Downloop it on landing - 9 out of 10 times that's what I did with the VX!

Since this is turning into the official worldwide sector thread, I thought i would add this link on..

This is from the UK forum where the freerace boards are becoming more and more common on our shores.

Post starter is an experienced rider who is tenacious enough to have ridden and owned a large number of race and freerace boards. Worth a read if you want some perspective as to the merits, feel and place for the sectors in the industry..

I have just received the V3 60, with standard quad fin set up.

I understand you can buy a back centre fin to convert to Tri set up; plus you can get a complete tri fin set up for carving.

Are these two options readily available? Any experiences to share?

I am waiting for the replacement fins (centre back race fin and carving ones) since the very beginning (late april i believe). No known scheduled date to receive this fins in my country. At this pace new fins may be arriving for next generation sectors... or just v4 = v3+newFins ... just joking but it has been a long time already... :(

where are you?
we have fin stock in the uk this week...
centre fin and carver sets..
that said carver sets are all mini tuttle (for use in the 54) and will not fit the 60 tri boxes as they are all deep tuttle...

The UK delivery incoming has only two free boards on it before it lands.. these are great boards.. I just wish the factory could make more!

I had the v3 60 and a 14 lithium at a demo this weekend, everyone sat on the beach waiting for the wind to pick up... Thought I would have a crack at it, but it was really light... probably the lightest I have used on a 60 (though I don't normally use 14's). Two power throws and I was hammering upwind.. It was like a starting flag.... let the fun commence!

Hi Mike, in spain. Hope we receive them soon here.

Regarding carving set, you mean it is delayed or it doesnt exist anymore? From what i remember in airush blog presenting v3, there you can see a carver set for the 60.

It is not ever coming the carver set i might start looking for windsurfing wave fins....

Does anyone travel with their sector 60? Is there a travel bag available for them?

Sir, you are right!
according to the pdf, and my packing list today or tomorrow I will have in stock the following;
Screen Shot 2012-09-12 at 08.54.42.png
It looks like a complete carver set for the V3 60 in full tuttle, (I stand Corrected) and a separate single rear upright fin to make a more race oriented tri..

so it looks like the v3 60 will have 3 possible options;
- standard - quad race config
- tri race configuration
- carver tri configuration

I'll have full details in the next few days when the delivery arrives. Interesting!

The Airush fins should be a lot better than windsurf fins (right cant - asymmetric foil and much more twist... lets see what arrives!
