It has a 1.5 petrol engine with the enormous amount of 50hp . We want to make a bed in the back so we can go to beachparty's in the weekends and sleep in the van. In the morning I can go surfing . Living the good live

I'd rather have one of those! The currently available small Ford van for the US you're talking about is the Transit Connect, different from full sized Transit. Good news though, the US is getting the full sized European Transit van in 2013 as well! Ford says 25% better fuel economy than E-Series. The Transit in the US will be available with eco-boost V6 and a diesel. Some overlap with E-series. E-series is sticking around until 2015 or something like that.

You seem to be in the know so I'll ask... Those full size transits, can you fit a sheet of plywood inside? What kind of gass mileage do they get?

Not sure about the cargo dimensions, check out Ford's UK website and you should be able to find it. They didn't release fuel economy yet, but the RWD F150 with the Ecoboost V6 gets 16/22 city/hwy. Probably the same for the Transit with Ecoboost. About the same weight and size. That would be about 25% better than the current E-Series (with A LOT more power).
