Personally I like the thought of a lightweight bar, ...in terms of those of us who travel a lot, ..I wouldn't mind if my girlfriend had a bar that enabled us to shave a few grams off the baggage.
I can tell you first hand that the new 2013 LW Crossbow is much faster turning and with the new 5 strut design, the kite stays in the air with just a puff of wind. Its much lighter and goes almost stright up wind with my raceboard. Crazy tack angle with this machine! Almost have to see the tack angle to believe it! If you like to jump, then look no further! This thing is just stupid when it comes to boosting! The smaller sizes kiteloop amazingly well with stellar hangtime to swing back under your kite before re-entry! Even unhooks really well! Relaunchability has always been a cinch with the Xbow for super easy beginner friendly traits that put this kite top of the list for 2013! Super stoked with the new product and the added turning speed!
Now if we can just get a race bar set up coming down the pipe soon, that would be super!
my take on the new construction & components for the 2013 twins in general, the Xcaliber in particular. Potentially a waste of 6 minutes if your not into it, otherwise, hopefully some helpful info... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BboAdAIW ... ature=plcp
