I never thought he would make it! The way he was riding around before the jump, didn't look too powered. Maybe he was just messing with us to make it seem more exciting.

I know you been asking yourself . . . "Does it really take a lot of talent and judgement and skill to jump over the brighton pier?" When spectators said, "He must be a professional" after a kiter jumped that pier in florida, was it true?
Or can someone who just learned how to go upwind jump a pier? Does it actually take no talent at all just stupid "hold my beer and watch this" courage?
thanks to elias seadi we have our answer.

I think clearing a pier by 50 or so feet shows skill and timing.
Just about clearing a 25ft pier by the seat of your pants whilst pulling of the best dangle I have seen in a while? stupid.
He was lucky he didn't do a Dimitri!

I think Lewis and billy are both skilled riders and have seen Lewis riding at lanceing uk my old home spot, and billy last year at the triple S, both used skill and judgement to clear the piers. This guy used balls and stupidity Judging by the riding before hand.prime candidate for a Darwin award
