every kite is different some of those old kites go upwind good. the biggest production kite has to be the naish 30m v4 2004 or so there was also a naish 25m v4, the cabrinha contra 23.5m from 2005 is pretty big the naish boxer went up to 20m. After 2005, kites went small, except for a few kites like the north rhino you can get a 2009 20m kite, naish made a 20m x3.
I really like those old big cabrinha kites, I have a 17m now and would sure like a 23.5m, there's nothing like the raw horsepower of a big kite.
But there are so many awesome lightwind kites now, ozone zephyr, north dyno, slingshot turbine, blade fat lady, they all come in at roughly 17m and give you roughly the same pull as an old 20m C kite but with a lot better upwind capability.
All those older giant kites I listed above are C kites, not supported leading edge kites.
I'm not real sure why kite manufacturers gave up making big kites between 2005 and 2009 for the most part, maybe it's fashion?
Go try to get one of those Naish 30m kites they are hilarious and will definitely pull your boat, but upwind capability will be bad, those old v4's are known to be dogs.
If you want something more recent you'll have to either settle for a flysurfer speed 3 21m kite, or start stacking kites. I think the peter lynn kites stack well. You can buy one of those C foil kites like the peter lynn charger, if you stack three 19m chargers, that's 57 square meters.
If you go with stacking you might need to ask another question see who else has done it, and what they recommend.

My friend Paul has a lightly used Best Waroo 20. He used it only a few times then got a Flysurfer Speed 17 and 21.
It's in great shape. PM me if you are interested.

Your boat will do ok on 14m. You want a bow kite for sure.. Waroo would be swell.. You can ride normal lines. just bring a oar if you have trouble, its a boat...
