I have a 2011 Cabrinha Crossbow 13m. I am starting to notice that my depower strap doesn't always release to full power. It seems like its jamming, although i've cleaned it and the strap is not frayed. Its so bad that i have to come off the water and manually release the strap. Anyone else have this problem or a fix?? Thanks.

Seems strange. I have always found them to be a bit "sticky" but generally they release under load - i.e. fly the kite to power it up when pulling the black toggle.
The only time I have had one get stuck was when the strap was frayed to the point that it would not slide through the "buckle". I had to replace the strap in that case before the strap broke.

This happens sometimes to me too. To fix it I usually first depower a bit more and then repower. In most cases it will then fully power.

Yeah, Ive tried depowering full and repowering under load in 17+ knot winds and it still stops before full power.... Must be a flaw I guess ill try replacing the strap. Thanks.

Give it a jiggle. Mine occasionally does that when the lines aren't loaded... but is fine otherwise. You can just lift the metal tab to release it completely if it bothers you... if you can reach!

Just because no one mentioned it, you do know that you have to pull the toggle a few times for it to fully power up, right? I remember having to give it at least 2-3 full pulls for it to power all the way up.
