I wish it were easier to pour yourself into this industry and come out ahead, but it's a tough market. I've seen and heard of a lot of good people getting chewed up and spit out of kite companies for one reason or another. It's a tough industry to succeed. Maybe the growth that the Olympics should bring will also help to increase margins and allow companies to retain their best talent and pay them well for their contributions.

Best of luck, Shannon! You changed the kite industry 9 years ago by leading a company that challenged the way kites were marketed, sold and priced. This allowed a lot more people to enter our sport with new modern gear instead of having to rely on their friend's hand-me-downs. I'm sure you'll change the game again wherever you're headed!
