Im starting on to kite race i already got a couple 2013 edges and i dont know which board to get so should i get an Mikes Lab or better get a Cabrinha 2011 for learning whichis 700 dollars and then get a competitive board compared to 3000 dollars ML (with fins) another option is just get a RRD Krace which a friend sells it with Tectonics just used once the board 1200 dollars and be competitive with that and my edge anyway i dont want to spend lots but be really competitive im thinking in assisting to the next northamericans and next years worlds

Don't wayste your time and effort with old gear. Get a new 70 cm race board. You might get krace and on with your program, perhaps sell it later and upgrade but at least you'll get time on water with the right gear

If it is the k-race 70, then why bother upgrading? Julien has been trading races with Adam at the top lately anyway.

I currently have 2012 north ltd with tectonics, 42cm + 40. I kite in light winds majority of time. Good board shape wise but a real crap as built quality goes. I would not get too hang up on what you might want down the road as the boards are getting better every iteration. Just get something decent and get cranking. Polish those tacks until you'll make them with your eyes closed, learn to go downwind so fast that you're scared every time you round the mark. It's all big fun

Check out the Temavento boards.
Amazing build quality and has cleaned up completely in the Europeans...
Full carbon board, even the fin boxes!
If you want I can take some photos?
