Hello!
I'm planning to go to Mui Ne in December and Phuket in early January,
Can anyone recommend any kite camps or hotels to stay. I'm planning to go alone, so I'm looking for a place to meet other kiters.

Mui Ne:
We are two kite instructors staying at Dragonfly. ( Close to coco beach resort )
There is also a kite repair in house in the guesthouse.
It is 1 min from the beach. Tell me for how long you will stay and I can send you pictures and a
price.
It is a social nice please to stay where you easy can meet cool people.

Mui Ne Water Sport
If I am not working I can take you out to different spots. Are you into to flat or wave ?

On the way to Phuket check the other spot Chumphon, Thung Wu A Laen Beach. Really good place for kite. If you fly in to Phuket then
www.kitesurfingphuket.com phone number on the web cite. Contact Dave. Really cool guys, good school. there are plenty of accomodation close to the spot. So, not a problem to find. Contact the guys from the school, they will help .

Theres no need to book a hotel in advance arriving in Mui Ne mid December. It wont be completely packed until first week of January. So heres the scoop.... Where the beach starts about the area of Sankara there are quite a few inexpensive hotel options and this area caters mostly to european (english speaking) crowd. As you head down the beach toward Phan Thiet it quickly changes to what we have dubbed (little Russia). Dragonfly is a good option as suggested, also you could try Gio Bien ($15 a night in high season) Coco Cafe has a few places for about the same behind their shop, and as far as a real social atmosphere meeting people, I would recommend Vietnam Austria House or Pauls new place, Xin Chao.
I'll see you there

We'll be in Mui Ne in late Dec and early Jan. I'm going with C2Sky for all my kiting needs, but there are many good companies. I found both of these sites helpful in my research.
Have fun!

Liz and Jeff are great at C2Sky. They have 2 locations on the beach but unfortunately the one I like has no beach to launch from at the moment. This could change by December but the sand was swept away in March with some strong winds and currents. The other spot is nice also, just not across the street from me. Looks like its gonna be a blast with lots of new people. Find me Launching at C2Sky and I'll show you some secret surf spots if youve got the time. Steve from BC

Hi Steve.
I am super stoked to join you next time you are kiting outside the bay.
I have just been here two weeks and love to explore and see new spots.
I am both into waves and flatwater.
