Poul who turned 88 in february was riding his 8m kite a well windy day at his homespot "Sydvestpynten" near Copenhagen a few km from his house. He came in to shore with the kite a 12 when his heart stopped beating. He died happy the way he wanted ...

Now "That's" the way I wanna check out ; just pass on after a Really Good Day !!!
And i bet he had a LOT of days like that, all Happy and content with himself !!!
After reading about him, i'm gonna step my life Up a bit more than i do now.

Condolences, I'm sure he'll be missed.

So he started kiting in his late 70's? Amazing!

I hope I'm kiting when I'm 88! What a way to go, kitesurfing in through the pearly gates.

I would say Rest In Peace.

However I'm sure that wherever he his he will take a quick nap, pump up his kite and hit the water again!

I would say condolences to him, but I think congratulations are more appropriate.

What a was to go off in full glory!!

A true inspiration :thumb:

I'm sure he will be missed by his local crowd, friends and family.

Farewell to Poul.

Great respect and admiration.

Over the years I have often asked people in their 50's/60's
who watch us from the beach if they would like to learn
...many times they say "oh, I'm too old to do that"
..and then I tell them about Poul!

RIP....or KIH?

(KIH = Kite in heaven!)
