the new kites are SUPER high quality!
While that is fine on symmetrical designs, the way fabric moves and stretches under load will affect flying on unsymmetrical panel layouts, unless the seams are balanced to give similar stress zones, which some in these photos appear to not be.

So for this generation they have removed the wave setting from trigger? Does that mean that now the kite is more wave orientated and less allround (freestyle)?
From the pictures it looks like the prime has a little bigger wing tips?

Hi there FarQueLot.

You make a very good point about asymmetrical kites causing problems once the canopy slightly stretches. For these reasons, all our kites are indeed symmetrical. You might have thought otherwise because the graphics are of different colors, but in terms of panels, they are completely symmetrical.
I don't know how involved you are in the kite industry, but it's very interesting you made that observation because most riders aren't aware of these construction details... good for you!

Anyone know if there are ANY changes to the Prime and if so in what direction. I've been riding Trigger 2012 until now and will use the new Trigger (looks promising) for waves but might give the
Prime a go for freeride/freestyle even if mostly hooked in. Would it be a lot like Ozone C4? I've tried a 9m2 2010 of those and loved it.

Thanks

The 2012 Trigger still feels like one of the best all around super fun kites I've ever flown. Friday I was digging how it transformed the side off rotoredstorm winds that I thought were unsailable, into something special. I am super stoked to fly the new Trigger soon. Planning on fitting a 9m into the 17-12-7 quiver. That cleat with adjustable throw on the unibar...I want that man! Its going to let me get dialed in for both the kite size and the conditions. That is so cool!

I'm eager to switch my 2012 Trigger quiver to the 2013. Any idea when Blade will be shipping the 2013 Trigger, with the new bar?

Hopefully, I will test them on the water before it freezes... it's getting cold in Canada these days!
