Hi there,
I'm trying to build a board which can withstand the absue of sliders and I'd like to know what your experiences are using different products..
So far the materials I came up with are
-Epoxy -Epoxy Topcot/Gelcoat -Polyester Gelcoat -Urethane-Coating/-Resin -P-Tex (I won't be able to work with it because of the channels I think)
Can you please share your experience with the different possibilities or do you have another idea?
Thank you in advance!

ps the resins will wear out.
how about kevlar?.. i landboard and have worn through 3 layers of carbon underneith the foot straps. i've now installed some kevlar for wear resistance.
too early to tell if its going to work. Its certainly significantly more robust that carbon.

UHWM-PE sheets (Durasurf) is the best material available.

Has any one tried a spray on bed liner as a grind base? I'm about to try and make my own boards and got the idea to try this stuff.

Might be cool if you could get it smooth instead of rough like in the truck beds....

you could get the bed liner smooth if you put it on then put 6mm poly over it and rub it out. let it dry and then peel the poly off.
It will weigh a ton with bed liner on it though. Dura surf is great too but heavy too. their is no perfect bottom for rails sooner or later it all wear through
Just my 2 cents terrie
