Planning a trip in November. How are winds in the OBX during that time? and Wetsuit/Drysuit conditions? Would appreciate input if anyone has experience. Thanks.

"bring what you got"
air temp could be 40 to 80 deg
wind 0-50 knots
water 50 (north) to 70s (south)
But you have a good chance of temps 50-70, wind 10-25, unless a really big cold front or NE'er comes through...

Yup, usually windy.
I kite every year at that time and the weather is all over the map. I rigged up some days when it was snowing and there was ice on the docs, and other years it's sunny and warm.
Depending when you leave you can look at the forecast and decide if you need that drysuit or not.

To piggyback the Captain's comments, if you look at the 3-4 day average airtemp you can get the general temp for the Sound side. As for the ocean side, it can still be pretty warm depending on the wind direction (gulf stream is really close) .
Here is a decent site that maps sea surface temps; gives a good idea of the sea temps currently.

As stated bring it all. It can be trunks or drysuits. No wind to a 75mph North Easter for 5 days straight. Here is a little historical temp data to support what others already said.
Data for last year, November of 2011
day Low High
24 41 55
25 40 63
26 46 66
27 50 70
28 65 74
Average
day Low High
24 49 62
25 49 61
26 48 61
27 48 61
28 48 61
Records
day Low High
24 28 77
25 26 76
26 30 79
27 27 80
28 31 76
One thing to keep in mind looking at those records is that there is usually not a big temp difference between the daily highs and daily lows. So on those record cold days it probably only got into the mid thirties and on the record warm days it probably only dropped into the low 60's.
Water in the Ocean is usually low 60s to high 50s so normally a good 4/3 is enough
