Nothing at all wrong with the Park for freestyle and it can work in the waves. But thats way different from my version of a great wave kite. I don't want a wave kite that pulls too hard. And heavy powered loops are not any help when you are trying to stay in the pocket or make a section.
The Envy was a nice wave oriented kite in 2012. Very different from the Park. For the waves, I would choose between the Envy and the Naish Ride. The Naish Ride makes a good wave kite, although it is not marketed as such. WW

WW Yeah I'd say it depends on how you like to (ehh) ride I guess Ride is super easy to (damn it) ride...I have both those kites..roide for smaller sizes and park for bigger.. I love the light feel on the ride..mind you I am not talking about the bar pressure because it definitely have enough of that, just how the kite feel flying. For me it depends a little on how I want to kite that day..how the wind is...some days I prefer the park some days I prefer the ride. Weird how that works.

nikolaygadzhev77 wrote: how the park 2013 comp too 2012 in 12m size I mean I liked last years, and still think it is a good kite..but like the video, there are some really notable changes: The biggest difference is the way it pulls. Before it would move forward a drop pull, now it holds the pull better. Loops more evenly. Shorter bridle. I'd say turning speed is similar, but a touch more bar pressure. The initial pull feels a little more agressive jumping, and the hangtime is improved. I think the profile is a little flatter, but they have not lost any of the c-kiteishness to it. Like they said in the vid the bar is thinner...that was the thing that took me the most time to get used to. I really liked the thicker bar. Now I don't notice it anymore. Better low end pull, same turning speed, feels more stable. I keep on trying to ride with my buddy side by side with the 2012, but either the wind is not cooperating or one of us can't make it. I mostly ride strapless at a spot where the wind is notoriously unstable. The new park handles it with ease. As in absolutely with no problem. I just a session on the 12 riding the Alaia and a TT. Super fun. Sigh.

2013 is pretty much the same as 2012, different graphics and a little different construction with bladder materials etc to make them more durable

Didn't had the chance to test the 2013 yet but the 2012 was awesome. If they are really almost the same you can't go wrong with the envy. Don't know about the park but heard some bitching about backstalling when unhooked.
