50 knots , in only 25 knots of wind on the bay ; that's not too bad !!!
Wish i could do 35 in that same wind, (key word being the "I" ).

Yes - I still find the sailrocket the most performing sail craft of all of them, regarding speed :thumb:

Because it has shown several times, that it performs excellent around the highest speeds in quite low winds, so the wind speed / sail speed ratio is much higher than kitesurfers and the big hydroptere.

Which means it is much more efficient 8)

Awesome

And in the back of your mind the little imp of the perverse is chanting crash crash crash like it's watching a nascar race. I don't want anyone to get hurt but man did you see the video of it going strait up like a rocket and turning into a bundle of falling sticks? Big swinging brass ones on the guys that drive the sail rocket. Cool use of supper cavitation on foils for all the fluid dynamics geeks.

We have just had Rob Douglas doing 41 knots in less than 25 knots of wind the other day at the NASSCI event on a slalom board so we are getting a lot more efficient than just a couple of years back.
