No matter how you tune the kite it will drift just fine. The kite sits deep in the window so as long as your have enough wind to keep it up it will drift. All it needs is a little tension on the line now and then. Which I found easy enough to do while just making turns on waves.

As far as the single line no it does not turn like a C. How ever it is more of a direct feel. Try it and see if you like it. The kite is amazing and many things but it's not a C no matter how they try to sell it as C like. The only kites I have flown that are C like are C's.

What's the depower like when ridden direct attachment? The already low aspect would be even lower surely without a bridle to open up the canopy or am I just talking crap?

This is hard for me to answer. First off if your depowering a kite so you can fly it then you need to be on a smaller kite. It is not depower it is a trim strap! Sorry this is a pet peeve of mine.

It really does not change anything as far as the kites shape when on single line. So it does "depower" about the same. What is really affected is it's ability to relaunch in the lower end of it's wind range.

hey hey hey - out on the Bunny well powered up today, upwind/fast setting and your advice is sound. The turning is transformed- much more flickable and friendly. As guerro said "you can really get her to pivot, pull the bar in and turn then release, and there she goes!!!!!", or just ride toward it a bit and it will turn snappily with slack lines but not too much power. Confidence inspiring. And the kite still drifts outrageously - it was pretty onshore and I was being a bit rude the amount I kept riding at the kite and it just let me get away with it.
