I'm going to be using 2012 Razors in Baja this winter coming off 2010 Rise kites. OR makes good gear. My Rises have seen a lot of use and only needed 2 minor repairs.

When it comes to bars you aren't going to make everyone happy no matter what you make. OR still have 2012 bars for sale if you prefer that style over the new bars. I'm still using 2010 bars and probably will until they break.

They are currently offering 3 different bars to suite a variety of tastes/riding needs.

Idk, offering up old selloff bars isn't the Answer. They make three versions of their bar so clearly they do want to please everyone. Hard bar ends are simply a step backwards.

weird. the bar you show in the pictures is not what is on this site...
http://oceanrodeo.com/kiting/freeride-bar
the ones on the site look like they have more rounded softer ends, (so no step backward) and also the bar still looks a little curved (bullhorns style) whereas yours looks totally straight across.
whats the deal?

That's last years bar. They haven't updated the page. The new one is seen in the online store part of the site:

They flip onto their back pretty flawlessly. You have to be ok with an extra pulley in the bridle on either side, but it works as advertised. Super easy to reset and relaunch compared to trying to reset on the water after releasing to a single front line.

I've been using the old style OR bar for the last 3yrs that releases onto the two front lines. I ride year round and have never had an issue with it or wanted a single line release.

Exactly. the pulleys don't roll when you ride powered as they are against stopper knots, so there's hardly any wear or other negatives from them.
Other than that, the Razors have really short bridles so they can't really mess up, even after being completely taco'd - upon rider error.

Can anybody compare the 2012 with the 2013 Razor? I have the 2012s and think it would be hard to improve upon. Thanks
