Guess it is not a question of "do i want it" but more of "when I will get it"

North seems to be delayed enormously.... Still did not get it after 2 months waiting....

I think it depends what you want the board to do - no design will do everything perfectly.

As I have posted in a couple of other threads, I use a very small, (4'10" x 18") thin directional board with a pretty flat rocker line & surf-style fins. At 180 lbs I find it planes up in around 10 - 12 knots & is comfortable in very high winds/chop/waves. It has been the only board I have used in the last 3 years.

My guess would be that the Nugget would provide the same degree of early planning as my board does for me. However, it's not going to provide the super early planning that a raceboard or freerace design will provide - which might mean an extra 2 or 3 knots on the bottom end. On the other hand, it's going to be more fun than a raceboard (obviously) or a freerace board in stronger winds & waves. My guess is that, other than the very low end, it would be a good one-board solution for you - if you value "rider simplicity". :thumb:

I do think the Nugget would benefit from having a 3 strap option to maximize control & power: 3 straps for general riding jibing & jumping, strapless for small to moderate surf, 2 straps for bigger waves & closed out conditions.

Hey, how much does the board with the fins weigh?

Please measure it, as I really need a light board. And is there any difference weight wise between the 2012 and 2013?

Thank you.

So I go to my local kiteboard shop to learn more about the Nugget. Now I am confused. My trusted shop recommended the Slingshot Dialer or the Cabrinha Skillet or SubWoofer to check out. I am 226 lbs, 6'2" and want to balance out my quiver of North Xride, Mako 150 and Slingshot Celeritas 5'8". So this would be for a lightwind and/or small waves here in s. florida.

Seems to me those boards would be more wave oriented & less freeride oriented than the Nugget.

14 Toeside has a custom Admunson board made directly from Hawaii
He is in love with what he got
It is a Quad with diamond tail....6'5" long..23 inches wide..3 inches thick..7mm concave bottom
He just rips on that board..it is is favorite....and the price is right

14Toe is 110kg/244lbs.......and for your weight Admunson can make the perfect board for you

Sometimes there is no production boards out there for you guys...and custom is the way to go
