Carrying your Kite
I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to best carry a kite when in little to no wind. I know the kite should be carried by holding the LE with wingtips up and have no problem doing this when there is wind. Only issue is the beach I kite at is sheltered from wind so once I reach it the kite drags on the sand and I imagine this is no good for the kite. I have a 14m LF NRG light breeze. Any suggestions appreciated.

There really isn't an elegant way to do it. If i'm done for the day I usually deflate the kite and fold it over itself a few times without letting it touch the ground too much, so I can throw it over my shoulder to roll it up in the grass.

you need to carry it over your head. You can't do this with just the leading edge; need to hold the bridle. if your bridle doesn't reach the center, rig up a short line to attach to closest bridle points.

If there's a little wind:
- carry it by the bridles. It holds the kite up into the clearer air and it flies better. Make sure the bridles are up on top of the kite so they don't get tangled in bushes.
- run a bit to increase the wind over the kite.
- if you're walking up a dune then compression will increase the wind and make the kite fly better.
- you can balance the centre strut on your head and counter with a pull on the bridles.
If there's not enough wind then deflate the kite. You can leave the struts inflated and roll the kite around them. The vast majority of damage to kites is done from dragging on gravel or concrete pavement or dragging through bushes.

Turn the kite on its side, pull on the upper bridle to reach the end of the leading edge, grab it, then grab the other end of the leading edge (on the ground), lift the kite above your head and walk around proudly with your inflated halo
