E-Mail Viruses - don't open any attachment these days!

Postby Toby » Fri Jun 27, 2003 11:17 am

:alarm:

watch out:

there are tons of viruses out there these days.
Or actually it is one virus, but spreading like hell.
Today I got about 100 e-mails with the same virus.

So be careful and make sure your anti-virus -program is up to date, since it works on this virus.

Good luck
Toby

PS: whoever knows this guy: Sefi Vigiser
and this e-mail address: sefiv@zahav.net.il

Pls let him know that he has a virus and shouldn't go online anymore until deleted from his PC.

It's not necessarily him! Since most new viruses fake the sender's address. The real address where the mail has come from can be seen from the mail headers.

p.s. If you still don't have an anti-virus product which updates itself automatically (and free of charge), check www.f-secure.com :thumb:

all you guys with your wiz bang pcs' and the latest version of norton or mcafee and your latest operating systems.

i've never ever ever had a virus, and i'm still running good old reliable NT with no virus software at all.

now i know this may sound like a challenge...
