... some amazing performances from the kites which ever way you look at it, to fly in such low winds, great work from both kite makers.

I'd love a head to head with other kites, not just the Core. I, for some reason, thought someone was going to turn up with a Dyno 18m, did that happen or did I miss it?

Hey Dimitri, how would you feel about sending a demo all the way to Australia?

cheers for now,

Robbie :)

Hello Robbie,
Will be happy to send you a demo to Australia. But since we have few dealers in Australia I will contact them so they can get in touch with you so you can demo the INFINITY V2 since the V3 are not out yet.
Please email me at: dimitri@epickites.com so I can put you in touch with our Australian EPIC dealers.
Once again thank you for your interest.

P.S. On another note this is Mr. Rick Iossis demoing the INFINITY V3 in stronger on shore winds 11 to 14 knots during the EPIC demos here in Pompano Beach Florida.
Kiters were kiting on 12/13/14/15/16 meter kites while few other people were demoing the high end of the INFINITY v3 light wind kite. Some of them were way over powered and had to pull the depower Strap down all the way, and few other had a great time but were using 129x39cm small board.

Yes, I would like to hear a back to back test between Dyno 18 ( best kite for LW than Dyno 17 2012/13) and infinity v3 since the v2 I read is a bit truck and pull down wind.
I've flown Dyno 18 in several conditions in 8-9 knots and 16-18 knots ( just because the wind rise up )and I think is a better kite than Core 19.

For me a LW kite must:

-Pull in 8 knots with a TT (185 lbs or 85 kg).
-go upwind easily.
- be still efective just in case the wind rise up.
-one pump (Dyno is not).

:bye:

Then my question have you spent time on the 19 core at all?
One pump....w /hand pump i fill it in 80 seconds...all it needs is 6psi like the Dyno (i had one)

Yes 8 knots with LW specific TT or surfboard 18.5 inches and up wide
Top end ...let me tell you..side side off very gusty wind 10-21kn..ocean surf at 5th street...
handles EZ.........gusts to 21 kn / 24 mph....no BS....& also pulls you upwind EZ in any wind speed

Cores wind range on their site says 6-18kn.......i do 8EZ to18EZ...in 21 STILL in CONTROL

Now i ask you....what could be possibly be wrong with kite that size that also kiteloops EZ

I think based on the videos that both kites were impressive, that you can loft them like that at low wind speed. Not that I would go out on such condition but I think that it is great that these kites can do that is case you are out and the wind start to die off. Now you will at least have a chance to body drag back to shore which would be easier than if the kite dropped.

11-14 knots and way over powered, are we talking about small people or does someone need to calibrate the wind-meter/brain??

Hello Mr.flaps1111,
You need to try the V2 INFINITY because it goes up wind like any other light wind kite with no problem. The V1 INFINITY was a little hard to go up wind but personally I never had any problem going up wind on the V1. But if you are looking at a kite that is similar to the Dyno 18, then you should try the RACER 17. The RACER 17 is an incredible up wind machine. But personally I don't like it as much as the INFINITY V2 or V3 because it was designed for a different purpose. I like the INFINITY V2 & V3 kite model better because it is more an all around kite. Turns on a dime, very responsive for kite looping, very very stable, relaunch incredibly well and has an amazing pop. But again some kiters like the RACER 17 better and some other kiters like the INFINITY V2.
Now the INFINITY V3 is an amazing kite especially in incredible light wind breeze.
You probably have seen videos of its performance on the SUP board. But again in this light wind conditions you have to be a very experience kiter to go out and have fun.

P.S. I am still testing the high end capability of the INFINITY V3 prototype.
