Kiting spots + hire options? Lifou/ Noumea / Villa / Fiji

Going on a cruise mid January, not that keen to lug the gear along. Wondering if anyone has found a reasonable place to hire gear / sweet talk a local in any of the locations? Took my own gear to Noumea a couple of years back (so I know it's a great spot, but I would guess hiring would be expensive). Not sure about FIJI - Denaru / Suva? Any help greatly appreciated

Take a 10m and a board or you will not feel very good when you arrive in Noumea.

It's cyclone season, first one just hit Fiji and on way here (nz) right now.

Take kite and harness with you and just buy a board when you get there. You can either sell it for cheap before you leave to recoup some of the cost or you can bring it back with you if you really like it! Much cheaper than renting and you can easily pack kites into a normal suit case.
