Religion 5mt??? Hurricane needed?

Postby gvironda » Thu Dec 20, 2012 2:04 pm

Hi guys.
I am planning to go to Hyeres for a couple of days, and the wind could be quite strong.
I have an Evo 9, and I don't know whether to borrow an Evo 7 or a Religion 5mt from a friend of mine?
I'm just 69 kg. What could be the wind range of the Religion 5mt?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Beppe

I live next to Hyeres (Toulon).

When will you arrive?

Still thinking about it.
Either the 26th, or after the 2nd of January.
I have seen incredible forecast in some days, over 30knots. Never been out above 25 honestly :-)

It depends...

For the moment we got nothing above 30 knots, pretty calm actually!

Wind is really gusty when blowing strong

BTW did you ever kite at l'Almanarre? (I suppose you're gonna go on that spot if you travel to Hyeres?)

Never been in Almanarre so far, and planning to go there. Looks great!

Ok!

The beach is really narrow (about 10m max  )

Riding with 35 knots +++ can be really dangerous so don't bother taking a 5m

I always ride with my Screamer 9

You can ride there when the wind is offshore (flaaaaat!) but when its offshore (wind coming from the east, you got 90% chance to ride under heavy rain)
