I found this online
http://restube.eu/wp/. I think its a great safety feature, and Im surprised that I havent read anything about it before.

Hi,
They guy who produces them is a friend of mine.
It is great little invention that gives you piece of mind when you are out in scary conditions.
I use mine when I got out in big waves, as it's always a possibility that you can get into trouble in big conditions.

one more thing to get tangled in your lines, doesnt seem to have a quick release

I would think it could deploy by accident during wipe outs... then it would be in the way so I don't think it would be practical for windsurfing or kitesurfing. Snorkling yes.

I have used it lots, and so far it has never deployed by accident.
The Release tab is well secured and the trigger has a clip is strong enough to prevent accidental triggering.

I think its money well spend for the peace of mind that youll have a Toy to rest on while your shwimming back to shore.
