Oahu local kiters

Postby Gippy13 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 5:11 am

Hey guys, I'm here in Oahu on holiday from Australia; and wanted to try fit in a session at Kailua bay or similar. I had a look at rental, and because I have no gear I'd have to pay for an advanced lesson ($350 or something) just to get a session in. Can anyone suggest someone I could borrow gear off or get much cheaper gear from. I'm 19, and I can't afford the big money for a couple hours kiting; but would love to get out in this beautiful place even for a few hours.

Kailua/Oahu got banned from all commercial kite/kajak/sup/... activities: No lessons, no rentals anymore. If you can borrow gear from a local kiter (for some beer), you may get lucky - but don't hold your breath

peace

HaHa 19 is almost 21 but not quite... I think they should change the age limit though, anywhere else its 18 YO :jump:

That's not a problem- don't be dissuaded, those beers are all lonely in the fridge waiting for someone 21 or older ;)
