I know it's summer season so there must be great places.
Less waves is what I'm looking for.

Where do you recommend from May-July.

Also, Where do you recommend from September-December?

Cheers
Thanks

Texas... South Padre and Corpus will blow all thru those months with both waves and flat water. Houston will start to lighten up in June, but we have more things to do when it does not blow and a cable park for the light to no wind days.

What is the difference in kiting like between SPI and corpus? SPI is quite a ways out there.

Have you ever heard of Dahab? It's a small, colorful city located only 1 hour far from the well known Sharm el Sheik (Egypt).
Scent of spices, colorful bazaars, outgoing people and travelers from all over the world are the first things you find walking along the seaside. Is in the hidden corners just few steps from the pedestrian area downtown that the real Dahab shows its best. Fascinating atmosphere with typical beduin houses, local food kiosk and sandy streets will bring you the feeling of being in another world, without being so far away from Europe.

The kite lagoon is totally amazing and very close to the city, just 3 min far by cheap taxi, unless you decide to take a room in one of the hotel on the beach!
Water is flat and mainly shallow, perfect for both beginner and advance riders. If you prefer open sea or interested in waves you can quickly get out from the lagoon. Regarding the wind, it's on average pretty strong, up to 25 knots. Even when the condition are not the best the good thing to use this spot is that most of the time the wind is still enough to get a ride and have a lot of fun, while just couple of km away you'd just sit on the beach.
Right on the spot you may find Happy Kite station, which is where I hang out at the moment as I love to be with my kite just couple of steps from the launching area. The station has all sort of facilities (storage, compressor, changing room, shower, wi-fi, fresh water, coffee, tea...) and a beautiful chill out area with carpets and pillows where you can have a rest after session and eventually appreciate the breathtaking sunset.
Nice, friendly and easygoing people always join this place and all of them are so helpful. I don't know your level, but if you want to improve it or just keen for tips, there are English, Italian, Russian and German speaking IKO instructors, happy to share their knowledge and passion for this sport.
I really hope to see you over here to ride with all of us happy kiter!!
Greetings from magic Dahab, endless summer for wind addicted!!

For the Continental United States this is probably the best time of year. This is pretty prime season for Central/Northern California Coast, Bay area, Hatteras, Texas, Pacific Northwest, and the Gorge.

SPI is just a resort island. Corpusvisva regular port town. Corpus probably would be a little bit cheaper and it would be easier to see some other parts of the state.
