Hello everybody, just received all I needed to start making boards and I am in search of the measurement of a big board for light wind, like a Spleene Door or Monster Door (not decided yet). I do know that it is not a complex design but I'm wondering what is the difference between the width of the board at the center and at the extremeties (nose & tail), what does the rocker looks like (I suspect it is fairly flat but would like a confirmation) and finally what is the thickness of board at the center & nose/tail???
Thanks for your help and have a good winter.
Dany

I have a spleene door right in front of me. 2011 High Tech model... Same as 2012. I'm a 170 pounds. And I love this board....but it was expensive.
My buddy is probably 220 and he loves his 2011 high tech Monster door also.
My board measurements are: width in the middle.....16 9/16 inch Board plack reads 159x45cm
width at the ends....17 1/2 @ 7 1/2 from each end.
Thickness at the each ends....1/8
Thickness in the middle, at each side....9/32 Thickness in the middle, at the center is...7/16

I love my board too. I would determine which board fits you best and build the board accordingly. I'd guess that the Monster has the same measurements as the standard door, just scaled up.

Thanks jyetley, exactly the kind of info I needed... Given the fact that I'm 175lbs but currently about 185 because of the Christmas festivities, I will start with a Spleene Door as opposed to a Monster...

Not much trouble....pm me if you have any more questions about the measurements.
fyi, I pay $700 for that board new, but on closeout as it was April 2012. I think you'll have good results in comparison.
