I had a contour for a while. Did you get the roam? I hope so because I had the Plus which needed the waterproof housing which added weight and bulk. I only had the bike mount so i screwed it tight on my center lines at the Y and it worked ok. You better find some editing software in which you can rotate the frame a lot to clean up the footage. The camera twists the center lines a lot. Also sometimes the steering line gets hung up on the mount. My suggestion is rig the camera to your center strut pointed down. Go with a bigger kite and shorter lines so you look closer to the camera, also shoot in tall mode if you can.

hello janaeo, I tend to use the contour roam on my kite lines quite a bit. if you ordered through camrig, you should also have ordered the mount plugs. these are little silicone rubber plugs that help keep you line mounts secure when using on the lines. contour cameras are nice to use on the lines because they have the rotating lens. anyhow have fun with it and post up a video when you get one together.

hey guys, cheers for the response, yeah i got the roam 2, was using on my helmet to start, got the line mounts few weeks ago, so far ive only used them once on the water, good video but the twisting can get a little annoying, been tryin to think of something to help reduce this a little. will put a link up when ive edited the videos.

Yeah they twist a bunch for sure. It's not bad if you keep the lines taught but without editing, I would have to flip my computer to watch a tack to the left. Best thing to do is edit the footage and just rotate. Not sure if you have to do it frame by frame or if there is software that can let you rotate via a slide control.
