I'd like to go on a kite trip on February.
I was told that St Lucia is a great spot at that time of the year.
Any comments or suggestions??
Is it a good spot?? Does the wind blow in Feb??
Thanks a lot.

I've been there. Very nice island. Good kiting in several spots. Here's a previous thread on St. Lucia. There is some good info here.

The winds in Feb are typically 15 - 20, but you can get a really windy day or days when it blows only 12. When I was there I think I used only my 11 meter kite and twin tip (132 x 40).
Here's a link with some wind history.

Had good wind on my visit to St. Lucia in December (9m every day). The beach itself is very nice, but it's right on the road & next to the airport which detracts from its charm somewhat, & the water conditions in the bay are very choppy. The beach up north is a long way away & is very dependent on having the right wind angle.
St. Lucia has it's attractions, but I wouldn't go there just for the kiting.

i stayed @ coconut beach resort 2 years ago in feb,ten days, i kited every day, some days were lite most were great, the resort has its own spot and pro-shop, (not on the road) locals there said that full moon depletes the wind, avoid it, they were right

There is kiting at a few other spots in St Lucia including Cas en Bas.
There is a kite school and a pub right there. Horseback riding is also available at this spot.
I had a few good sessions there.
