Seriously though , if a guy wears a helmet and stays inside
his own boundaries , doesn't kite in shallow water ; this
is the a fairly Tame sport compared to most.

So how many kiters die each year / per 100,000 users ; and of the kiters that did die
while kiting, how many of those met there fate doing something Stupid ?

Rick i once quoted per 100 000 - death rate was above sailing, above sub aqua diving and below paragliding (which i seem to remember was much higher).

Driving to beach would be more dangerous I would think, but as for "no more dangerous than any other sport" - lie to make it sound safer than it is, simply to try and get it into olympics. Keep it real, honesty is in our interest when it comes to looking after ourselves. Thanks to this forum for sharing info like this so we can learn from it.
