It came with a box end wrench to tighten,so yeah I didn't have a problem with it moving. Also it came with a metal sleeve to keep the extension from adjusting.
Yes it was light wind, and like the video says it was just us testing it out. We have some good wind coming in early next week, so hopefully we will have some better video and get to put it thru the paces a little more.
I know these types of mounts used to be really popular back in the old school kiting days. then they all disappeared seemingly overnight as the pro's started doing unhooked tricks.
My concern with this type of mount is that it could somehow get wrapped up in the lines during inverts, spins or possible during a bad crash. Be careful. Hopefully that's not an issue.
That's a good point. I'm more interested in the air view of this mount, as I just never seem to have a good view of jumps. Strut mounts you look like an ant with a wake, helmet is just to jerky, the new line mount is better, but I hope this will make for some better shots.

Maybe somewhat true for heavy freestyle, but for waveriding they are used now and gives a good view
And for the "allround" kitesurfers I think they would work great too.
